Privacy and Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This policy explains what personal information The Simons Insurance Agency collects when you use thesimonsagency.com, why we collect it, who else can receive it, and the choices you have. It also describes every cookie and outside service on the site.

We have written this in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email Fred@TheSimonsAgency.com and we will explain it.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in the contact form on our site, or email or call us, we collect what you choose to tell us: typically your name, email address, phone number and whatever you write in your message. We only ask for what we need in order to reply. Please do not send sensitive information such as financial account details, health information, Social Security numbers or policy numbers through a website form; we will ask for anything we need securely once we are in touch.

Information collected automatically. Very little. This website runs no analytics and no advertising tracking. Like every website, our server records the IP address and browser type of each request in its logs, and our security software records the IP address of requests that look like attacks or failed sign-in attempts. We use those records only to keep the site running and secure.

We do not record your session. We do not use session-recording or screen-replay tools, we do not capture what you type before you submit a form, and we do not use services that try to work out who you are from your visit.

Information from working with us. If you become a client, the information needed to quote, place and service your insurance is held in our agency systems and with the insurance carriers involved. That information is covered by this policy too, and by the carriers’ own privacy notices.

2. Why we use it

  • To answer your inquiry and to provide the quotes and services you have asked for.
  • To send you information about our services, where you have asked us to or where you are an existing client. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and we act on it.
  • To keep the site secure and to stop spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who else can receive it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. No advertising company receives anything about your visit.

Three outside companies supply parts of how the site works, and to do so each receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a visitor using our contact forms is a person and not an automated program. Cloudflare’s use of that information is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces the site is displayed in.
  • UserWay provides the accessibility widget (the button that lets you adjust text size, contrast and similar settings).

None of these is used for analytics or advertising on our site.

Every page also includes a Google Maps view of our office. Nothing from Google Maps loads until you click to show the map. If you do, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy.

Separately, we use trusted suppliers who handle information strictly on our behalf and on our instructions: our website host and support agency, and our email provider. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by email and a copy is kept on the website’s own server. These suppliers are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We can tell you who they are on request.

We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it, or to establish or defend our legal rights.

4. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries that do not become business: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client and policy records: for the life of the relationship, then for as long as insurance regulations and tax rules require.
  • Cookie consent records: at least 24 months from the date of the decision.
  • Server and security logs: for a short rolling period, then overwritten.

5. Your choices and your rights

Whether or not any particular privacy law applies to a business our size, we will honor these requests from anyone who asks. You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete information we no longer have a good reason to keep;
  • stop sending you marketing email.

Email Fred@TheSimonsAgency.com or call (863) 259-1826. We will respond within 45 days, at no charge. We may need to confirm who you are first.

6. How we protect it

Personal information is protected by safeguards appropriate to how sensitive it is. The site runs over an encrypted connection, it is protected by security software, access to our systems is limited to people who need it, and we take all reasonable precautions against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No website can promise perfect security, and if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you promptly.

7. Children

Our site and services are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

8. Other websites

Our site links to other websites, including insurance carriers’ sites, that this policy does not cover. Once you leave our site this policy stops applying and we are not responsible for how those sites handle your information. We suggest you read their privacy statements.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your information or which outside services the site uses, we will ask for your cookie choices again rather than relying on consent you gave to an older version.

10. How to contact us

Questions, requests or complaints about this policy or our privacy practices: Fred@TheSimonsAgency.com, (863) 259-1826, or by mail to The Simons Insurance Agency, 325 Ave C SW, Winter Haven, FL 33880.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. This website runs no analytics and no advertising tracking, and it sets no cookies when you arrive.

When you first visit, a banner asks for your cookie choices. Your answer is remembered in a cookie called gi_consent for 12 months, after which we ask again. You can change your answer at any time with the Manage cookies button at the bottom-left of any page.

We keep a record of your choice: the date and time, what you agreed to, and the page you were on. That record is tied to a random reference generated in your browser. It contains no name, no email address and no IP address, and we cannot use it to work out who you are.

The banner groups cookies into three categories. Strictly necessary covers what the site needs to work: remembering your cookie choice, and the Cloudflare Turnstile check that protects our contact forms from spam. Statistics is empty today. Marketing covers only the Google map of our office, which loads when you click it. If a measurement or advertising tool is ever added to this website, it will stay switched off until you agree to it in the banner.

You may also change your Internet browser settings to prevent your computer from accepting cookies or to notify you when you receive a cookie so that you may decline its acceptance. Please note, however, if you disable cookies, our website will not be able to remember your cookie choice.
